Why can't players connect to my server?

If people cannot join, it is almost always one of a handful of things. Work down this list.

Run through these

1. Is the server running? Open it and check the status shows Running, not Stopped or Starting. Watch the console for the Done line.
2. Right address? Grab the exact address from the Overview page and check for typos. See Connect to your server.
3. Right version? Everyone must be on the same Minecraft version as the server, shown under Server Info.
4. Whitelist on? If you have a whitelist, players not on it are blocked. Add them or turn it off.
5. Server full? If you have hit your player limit, nobody else can join until someone leaves.

Still stuck?

Try a Restart, then check the Console for red error lines as it starts. If it will not start at all, the Crash assistant can tell you why.
